Background
Have you ever seen an apple tree in full bloom? Whether it is a single tree or a whole orchard of trees, the sight of a blossoming apple tree is a beautiful sight.
Create a watercolor picture:
Find a picture of a blossoming apple tree. Try to recreate the picture with the wet-on-wet watercolor technique. Or, if you feel really artistic, make up a scene of your own!
Wet-on-Wet Technique
- Dip your brush in clean water, and wet the entire sheet of paper you are using
- Wet one pad of watercolor paint, and fill your brush with that color of paint.
- Brush the color onto the sheet of paper.
- Apply dots and lines and watch as the color expands.
- Rinse your brush before you apply a second color of paint.
- Lay your picture flat to dry after you finish it.
